I'm not one 100% sure but I think that on our screens post Pugwall means "a job with Neighbours". So here is a list of who fell victim to the "Neighbours conspiracy". Interesting point to note is that Mellissa in Pugwall actually played Mellissa in Neighbours (she has now been out of the show for quite a while). But more on this somewhere else...
Jason Torrens (Pugwall) appeared as an un-named character who got into trouble with the law for underage drinking at "Chez Chez". He also got Debbie in a pickle with them for serving him. He only appeared in one episode (plus a recap) but a point to note was that his hair was very much longer than before (well he did have 5 years to grow it!).
Troy Beckwith (Bazza) played the role of Michael Martin for a few years. A bit of a bad boy he once stole Paul Robinsons car with the aid of his old mate.
And his old mate (Josh I think?) was none other than his old Pugwall mate Jay McCormack (Orfo). Funny huh?
Maurie Fields (aka Uncle Harry) was the old gardning bloke who lived on an old bus in a manure heap! Before and during Pugwall he was a long-serving cast member of The flying Doctors. Anyone know of a dedicated web site for this show??
Pre-Pugwall Elspeth Ballnyne was in Prisoner Cell Block H but post Pugwall she appered as Cathy Allessi on Neighbours!
The coolest character in both shows has to be Dr. Pongerton (Pugwall) and Colin Taylor (Neighbours). Isn't amazing how the character stayed exactly the same? Listen to those kids sigh when they find out that Dr. Pongerton can't do a speech!! Played by actor Frank Bren.
Oh beautiful Rochelle!! Yes she was much older when she played Phoebe in Neighbours! Played by Simone Robertson.
The woman from the newsagents...you know just before Phillip Martin took over? Well that was the teacher out of Pugwall!!
Dougie Willis' dad! Remember him? No? He was a sailor or something! Well he was the guy who gave Marmaloid private Chemistry tuition at home (Mr Humble).
Mellissa plays Mellissa....now you can't get confused there can you? Played by Aimee Robertson.
Pams mum! Well we are scraping the bottom of the barrel here but...she played an old lady who Jenny was visiting. Jenny ended up giving her an Organics record!
How could I forget Wozza!!!?????!! Who is he? C'mon! Take a guess!!! Take away all that hair and that chubby face?!?! Don't you see? Well it's Stonefish stupid!!! Also known as Anthony Engleman to his close friends!! Why do I bother?
Well as you can see we are still waiting for the appearence of Con, Stringbean and Jenny. But please keep your eyes open...it's only a matter of time...
