At Last Something For The Kids

A lot of drivel is dished up in the guise of television for children, especially those weekend shows, in which the hosts compete with each other for attention.

The imagination of some programmers seems to be limited to cartoons and contests. It is especially refreshing, therefore, to learn that Pugwall is coming to Channel 9 from June 13.

It's a mini-series adapted from a novel by M.D. Clark, about a 13-year-old boy with dreams of musical stardom, and it promises to lift TV's game in the area of programming for youngsters.

Jason Torrens is Pugwall and the cast id liberally littered with older names of distinction, including Maurie Fields, Elspeth Ballantyne and Vic Gordan.
