Newspeak's Happy Hunting Ground: Apocalypse
and Beyond
Welcome stranger. Newspeak has begun. Newspeak has ended. Fixed
modem, multi-functional, hard disked politics for conceptual ears and open minds.
A velocity that, while textured with subtle hints of Persia, moves close to
the very heart of every Western doctrine. Communist but never sterile. Layered
but never lost. Under the arms and from the tangents of concrete and steel,
we are born. Free of the modeled, impotent engine that drove the beast towards
2000, our aspirations never came too soon. In the light of time we will therefore
blossom and never lose sight of you who made us.

Newspeak would like to thank
all those people who supported us over the years. We got up the nose of a lot
of people, a lot of people hated us and most just didn't get us at all. In a
time when it seemed unfasionable to be playing original, intelligent, guitar-based
music we did appreciate those of you who came up to us after a gig and said
that we wern't as bad as they thought we would have been. In fact some of you
even bought our CD's! Thanks to all the people at the pubs who put us on and
spent time promoting us. Our last gig was a great experience (yeah it was the
last one!) and we are pleased so many of you could come along. Take the time
to have a look around the site and write in to let us know what you think about
Apocalypse. Take care. Rob, Dan, Nick, Rob and Julian.
